Air Traffic Management, from space
Â
Skykraft delivers air traffic management services from space, integrating with existing aircraft avionics and ground infrastructure. Our solutions support today’s aviation needs while adapting to emerging airspace users, including drones and advanced air mobility operations.

ATM Services
Our satellites are purpose-built for air traffic management and airline operations—not general-purpose communications. They deliver surveillance and VHF communications that integrate seamlessly with Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) infrastructure and existing aviation regulatory frameworks.
Data
Relays VHF data between an aircraft and the ground, via satellites. Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) and Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS)
Voice
Relays VHF voice communications between an aircraft and an ANSP through satellites, to provide VHF voice communications globally, even in remote and oceanic regions.
Surveillance
Captures Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B) and Universal Access Transceiver (UAT) signals from satellites, validates these positions and relays them to ANSPs.
Space-based Services

Benefits

Safety
Continuous surveillance and direct controller-pilot VHF contact over oceans and remote regions.
Efficiency
Supports closer separation and more direct routes, reducing fuel burn and emissions.
Resilience
Independent of ground infrastructure, with redundancy and cyber security designed in.
Integration
Works with the avionics aircraft already carry and connects to ANSP systems through standard interfaces.
Every spacecraft we have flown was designed, assembled and tested in Canberra, using regional Australian supply chains.
