Skykraft CEO Transition

Canberra, Australia – 15th September 2026

Skykraft, the Australian space infrastructure company developing the world's first globally integrated space-based VHF communications, surveillance and air traffic management network, today announced the appointment of Rob Weaver as Interim Chief Executive Officer effective 10 September 2026.
The Board thanks Michael Frater for his significant contribution to Skykraft and wishes him every success in the future. During his time as CEO, Skykraft achieved a number of important milestones in the development of its technology and space capabilities.
Rob brings extensive experience across air traffic management, aviation safety and emerging aerospace technologies. He previously served as Executive General Manager at Airservices Australia and later held senior business development and industry leadership roles for EmbraerX and Eve Air Mobility.
The global recruitment process for a permanent CEO will commence in the coming months.
