Skykraft Appoints James Palmer as Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

23 July, 2021

Skykraft is pleased to announce the appointment of James Palmer as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to support the Company’s Executive Management Team in its growth and expansion strategy.

James joins Skykraft with a wealth of experience in commerce and finance. Having worked in a Big 4 professional services firm for twenty years – ten of those as a partner – in 2015, James sought to broaden his professional experience and retired from the partnership to pursue a career comprising contract CFO roles, consulting and Board directorships focussing on the start-up space.

As CFO, James will be responsible for:

  • Further developing the Company’s financial management systems to support future expansion plans;

  • Strategic analysis and cost management to support global expansion and distribution channels;

  • Financial control, reporting and analysis to the CEO and Board to support key decision making;

  • Stewardship of the Company’s assets and cash management during the execution of Skykraft’s growth strategy; and

  • Cost control to drive operational efficiencies and profit.

CEO and Executive Chairman AVM (Ret’d) Mark “Skates” Skidmore AM commented, “James brings significant experience and knowledge to Skykraft. He has been involved in a number of start-ups and has a good understanding of the financial landscape. I look forward to working closely with James”

James most recently served as CFO to archTIS (ASX: AR9) and before that CFO for Seeing Machines (LSE: SEE). Both successful Canberra start-ups.
